Just a brief heads up letting people know I'm still alive. Been working at CPI Office Products as the lead graphic designer for the past couple years so that's pretty much halted all commission work as well as all convention attendances. I hardly have time to reply to all the many questions asked here, so I'll post a FAQ that will hopefully answer most if not all questions:

1. What do you use to make your drawings?
--Currently, pencil, paper, Photoshop CS5, and a Medium Wacom Intuos 4.

2. Can I use your artwork for wallpapers, sigs, avatars, on my website, etc.
--Yes, you can do anything you want with my artwork other than sell it. If you want to sell my work, contact me and maybe we can work out some kind of deal.

3. Do you do commissions?
--I used to, but not anymore. Unfortunately, my free time is extremely unpredictable and what little downtime I have, I spend it with my Hunny Bunny.

4. Do you sell prints of your work?
--You can order prints of my work here: crimsonjassic.com/?page=prints

5. Are you dead?
--I'm still alive and well, woo woo! However, as the lead graphic designer for CPI, there's never a shortage of work. My responsibility is to maintain the company image and branding as well as create ads, promotional pieces, maintain the company website, and create custom artwork and graphics including art of our company mascot CC, who I also designed. Download some CC wallpapers over hnyeah:

CC Wallpapers

6. What's CPI?
--CPI Office Products is an office supply company that specializes in providing office supplies to other companies. It's like Office Depot for businesses.

7. Are you a girl?
--My avatar is an orange cat, but I'm a dude who likes drawing cute girls.

That's it for now. :D

In convention-related news...

Working as a full-time graphic designer doesn't leave much time for freelancing and artist alleys anymore, therefore, I'll only be attending the major cons (if I can snag tables at them).  I've already missed the opportunity to get an A-kon table (they sold out almost instantly! I'm on the waiting list though) so I may not be there this year. :(  Luckily I'll be attending Anime Expo in L.A. July 1st - 4th.

Cons List
----------------------
Here's a list of conventions where I plan on having an Artists' Alley table. If you're in the area, feel free to drop by my table where you can buy 11x17 prints for $20 or sketches for $20+. If the con has an art auction, you can also bid on large posters of my best work.

Sweet News!

Me, My Design, and a fat check :3

Well as some of you may know, I was one of the 8 finalists in Sony's My Graphic Splash contest a few weeks back.  On 9/15 Sony announced the final 3 grand prize winners who were Amy Neal, Kristin Getchell, and myself (yay!). As the 3 finalists, we were invited to go to New York City for the 9/15 press event unveiling the winning designs where we got to meet Mike Abary-- Senior Vice President of Vaio, Lauren Conrad (of The Hills fame), and artist Maya Hayuk.  The prizes for the contest include a Sony Vaio laptop with our design on the lid and $5000 as well as the free trip to NYC to attend the press event on 9/15. I'd thought there was supposed to only be one grand prize winner, but it turned out that the 3 finalists were all grand prize winners.  So congrats to the other winners Amy :iconstarfantazy:, and Kristen :iconcre8anim8:. :)

I also wanted to say thank you, thank you, thaaaaank you! to everyone who took the time to register and vote for their favorite design and a very special thanks to everyone who voted for my design; I really do appreciate it, gang.  :)

Check out these sweet photos of the press event!

Commission status: not accepting new commissions at this time.

Commission Information
Website: Crimsonjassic.com

If you're interested in having me draw a custom drawing for you, then just note me or send me an email (crimsonjassic [at] yahoo.com) letting me know you're interested.  I will then add you to a waiting list and get back to you once I've added you to the current commission list below.

Current Commission Slots/Completion Rate
  • Slot 1: UNAVAILABLE
  • Slot 2: UNAVAILABLE
  • Slot 3: UNAVAILABLE
  • Slot 4: UNAVAILABLE

Current Rate: $20.00 an hour.
Current Status: Not accepting new commissions at this time.

The usual commission process goes as follows:

1.  You message me with your commission request and how much you're willing to spend on the commission.
2.  I charge you half of what you want to spend and draw you a rough sketch of your pic.
3.  I show you the rough and we discuss changes until you give the go-ahead to finalize the image.
4.  I do the actual full-sized drawing.
5.  You pay for the rest of the commission price plus $5 for shipping (unless it's online-only*).
6.  I mail you your commission (or if it's an online-only commission* I email you the Photoshop file of your image).

*online-only commission: a commission where I just email you the PSD file or a high-resolution jpeg.

NOTE! DO NOT commission me if you cannot pay for the commission immediately. If you back out on a commission you'll be put on my black list and won't be able to commission me again.
