Over the course of this past semester, one of my graphic artist buddies and I had a how-to-draw comic strip running in The Battalion, our student-run university newspaper. He and I would alternate on a weekly basis making little strips that followed a theme for the week (my strip was called "Octopie and his was called "Squidz"). You guys can check out both our strips in the AV Center section of thebatt.com.

I thought I'd compile and share my comic here on dA 'cause it's got some useful tidbits that some of you may find handy. So here's the first week of my strip, "Babe-drawing bascis." I'll post the rest later on. :)

mmm donuts *ponders on eating her head*

this is going to help me with the concept of more balanced facial structure. Then I can lessen the use of the liquify tool when I notice I messed up :(

I found the cashier might think you're gay part most amusing. This is very helpful though as for some reason I can draw men girly but when it comes to drawing women their faces come out masculine. I think my pencils are gender confused.
