My Little Pony: Shinespark

I had a tiny window of free time so I decided to enter the Design a My Little Pony Contest over on Facebook. This is my pony design for the contest. She's supposed to be Rainbow Dash's sister, hence the similarities.

You were required to submit a description to the contest along with the drawing, so I'll include that here:

Shinespark is Rainbow Dash's younger sister.

Ever since they were young fillies, Shinespark and Rainbow Dash have been extremely competitive. Growing up, Rainbow Dash taunted and teased her slower sister all the time. The teasing didn't bother Shinespark until the day Rainbow Dash got her cutie mark. Rainbow Dash's constant bragging finally drove Shinespark to leave Cloudsdale in search of her true self as well as her own cutie mark.

After several years, Shinespark has returned to prove herself to Rainbow Dash. She's come back, not only show RainbowDash that she's discovered her cutie mark, but that she's learned a new unique ability that rivals the Sonic Rainboom: the Sparkburst.

Heated sibling rivalry ending in a climactic race where rival sisters lose sight of themselves and then find each other again only when the actions of one causes the other to fall into mortal danger! The story pretty much writes itself.
