what i meant was if the design was actually painted onto the car
i saw the other pictures of it in your gallery and answered my own question
still, it's a very great job. i'd want to drive a nice car like that
"Dude! I would so work my ass off to buy that car!! Though a different color...red looks like it's going faster and has a higher chance of being pulled over by cops..." >>; "But I LOVE it!" :3 "If that counts for anything." xD
The coolest thing about it is that it shows how you don't have to overwork the colors to get a spectacular finished product. It looks photorealistic zoomed out. I am still stunned by how nice this came out. Do you work zoomed in or Zoomed out for coloring?
Thanks, dude. Yeah I was pretty surprised at how nice it looks when you're zoomed out. ^^ I actually work both zoomed in and zoomed out; I'll zoom in close for little details, and zoom out for broader areas as well as to look at the image as a whole to make sure I'm not making any particular section look like it doesn't fit with the rest. I use Ctrl + +/- and the little zoom window navigator at the top-right a lot.
One of the things I learned with this image and with my Metroid pics is that you can get away with a really good looking image without having to refine your work so much. And it actually sometimes looks better unrefined-- gives it a more natural look. Although, there's a fine line between making something look natural and making it look like it was painted with mud (unless you're painting mud, in which case it doesn't matter :3 ).
For the record, I looked at this, saw the full version, then came back to this, and not until I zoomed in did I realize that you actually drew the car ITSELF. Holy expletive. You are a master at what you do. The texture is incredible, the detail is incredible, BUT there is one tiny little line on the edge of the tire that goes out into the car for a little bit. B+
